NEWS FROM NORTH ASTON
According to Hill Groundworks :
Private Project - North Aston
The scale of this project was enormous. Taking a total of 3 Years from conception to delivery. HGWL were brought on board to finish this project with the end goal to supply 27 properties with district mains heat. We worked on this project from September 2020 to January 2021.
With over 14,500 metres of ground collector pipes, feeding into manifolds and interlink pipework. This all connected into a specialised plant room which pumps through to deliver heat into the involved properties. Having gone through fields, organic nurseries, 25 gardens and thrust bored main roads HGWL delivered this project to its final destination.

UK GOVERNMENT - COMMUNITY HEAT PROJECT
Heat networks form an important part of our plan to reduce carbon and cut heating bills for customers (domestic and commercial). They are one of the most cost-effective ways of reducing carbon emissions from heating, and their efficiency and carbon-saving potential increases as they grow and connect to each other. They provide a unique opportunity to exploit larger scale – and often lower cost – renewable and recovered heat sources that otherwise cannot be used. It is estimated by the CCC that around 18% of UK heat will need to come from heat networks by 2050 if the UK is to meet its carbon targets cost effectively.
